What is LiveAI?

Who is LiveAI for?

Is LiveAI free?

Yes, core functionality is free with no time limits. The editor and export are available on the Free plan. AI requests consume LiveCoins — you receive a starter package upon registration. Collaboration tools are coming soon. Learn more about plans →

AI Assistant

What AI models are used?

LiveAI offers three model tiers: Basic (fast and economical), Premium (a balance of quality and speed), and Super (maximum quality). You can choose a model manually or let the system decide. Learn more about models →

Can AI see my notes?

Only if you want it to. By default, the AI chat uses the contents of your active notebook as context — this helps provide more accurate answers. You can disable this feature with a single click.

Can I use AI to generate images?

Yes. The AI chat includes an image generation mode — describe the image in words, and the AI will create it. Learn more about image generation →

What are LiveCoins?

LiveCoins are LiveAI's internal currency, consumed when you use AI features. You receive starter coins upon registration and can top up your balance by purchasing packages, through a Pro subscription, or via the referral program. Learn more about LiveCoins →

Editor

What export formats are supported?

DOCX (Microsoft Word), Markdown, and HTML. Each format preserves formatting, tables, and images. Learn more about export →

Does the editor support Markdown?

Yes. You can type Markdown syntax directly in the editor — it automatically converts to visual formatting. # becomes a heading, - becomes a list, **text** becomes bold. The visual mode works alongside it — use whichever you prefer.

Can I insert images?

Yes, in three ways: by dragging and dropping a file, pasting from the clipboard (Ctrl+V), or by URL. Images can be resized, aligned, and have text wrapping configured. Learn more about images →

How will I invite a colleague to a document?

You'll open the notebook's access settings and invite a participant by email. After they sign in, they'll have access to the document and will be able to edit it together with you in real time.

What will happen when multiple people edit at the same time?

LiveAI will use CRDT technology to automatically merge edits. Each participant's cursor will be visible in real time, and conflicts will be resolved automatically — without data loss. Learn more about collaboration →

Will there be version history?

Yes. The system will automatically create document snapshots. You'll also be able to create named versions manually. Any version can be compared with the current one, restored in full, or have individual changes selectively applied.

What devices does LiveAI work on?

The web version works in any modern browser (Chrome 90+, Firefox 90+, Safari 15+, Edge 90+). Desktop and mobile apps are coming soon. Learn more about platforms →

Does LiveAI work offline?

The web version offers limited offline support for previously opened documents via Service Worker. The upcoming desktop app will have a full-featured offline mode with local caching. Learn more about offline mode →

Is my data secure?

All data is transmitted over an encrypted channel (HTTPS). Passwords are stored in encrypted form. Integration credentials are encrypted at the database level. LiveAI does not sell data and does not use user texts to train models. Learn more about security →
